Alaska Is Gaining Jobs In 2010

Steady growth in Alaska.
Alaska has had its ups and downs. After the Pipeline years, unemployment
was common. Now, though, Alaska is doing relatively well economically.

Alaska's Just Behind North Dakota In Job Growth
Here's some more good news. Alaska is one of the few states in America that has a slow and steady increase in jobs. Alaska has added 10,000 jobs in the past five years. It follows North Dakota, which added 21,300 jobs.

It looks like the real strength of both of these states has stemmed from solid, non-boom growth. By comparison, Nevada, which was really booming over the past few years has suffered a serious crash, losing over 100,000 jobs.
