Tok Road Report: Travelers Up 8% In Summer Of 2010

Fast Eddy's Restaurant in Tok is the first stopping place for many incoming RVers,
coming in from Canada on the Alcan.
There's a sudden and stunning reappearance this summer of lots of 50-foot long 
camper rigs in Tok. As we do every year, we talked with Madge Kelleyhouse, who 
runs the Tok Chamber Visitor Center. 

"We're basically seeing that the numbers are up over last year," she said.
"It's about 8%. The folks are coming in – more individual travelers this year.
It's almost ALL individual travelers. You know, you have a lot more RV's on
the road..."
