Possibly the "Best Summer Ever" In Cooper Landing

On the incredible, turquoise Kenai River Shirley Wilmoth of the Hutch B&B in Cooper Landing, runs an inn for fishermen and self-sufficient travelers. It has 12 rooms and one new 2-bedroom cabin. Travelers to Cooper Landing sit outside on the flower-decked covered porch, swap stories, and plan their day on the river. At night, there's a big outdoor campfire.

Says Shirley:
"It seems to be doing really well. I think it's going to be our best summer ever. It'll be one of our top two if it's not our best. September is really booking well. The silvers are in the Kenai. There's a few weddings still scheduled here in Cooper Landing the month of September. Obviously a beautiful setting... It's going to be a spectacular fall. We'll be seeing some pretty silvers caught. And rainbows and Dollies. Our international travelers do some heavy-duty hiking. They'll do two trails in one day! Even with some of the local road construction going on, I think it's going to be a very good season."
