We just got a call from someone who wanted to order some Bearfoot Guides for a friend coming to Alaska. Dennis D., of Michigan, had just come back from his trip. He was typical of the new traveler to our state. This summer, he rented a car in Anchorage. He intends to come back.

Here's what he had to say:

"We were only there for 10 days but we traveled 2,600 miles. We drove in a car. We were out every day. One of the towns, we were in the visitor center and there was your book. It's the best publication that we had in our trip. The Bearfoot Alaskan Travel Magazine, is what it was. It was really a good trip for us. We had a great time. If we did it again we'd rent one of those 26-foot motor homes…. It would have been the way for us to travel."
